In this interactive whiteboard lesson, students drag coins to make the amount of money shown. They also determine which hand has more money in it. This activity features very basic coin counting for young students.

Count the coins shown in each picture and write the amount. Then drag coins into the box to make the amount shown. This lesson includes mixed coins with values up to $1.56.

Adding Money
This lesson contains several addition problems with money amounts as addends, as well as two word problems. Students use the digital markers to solve, then erase to check their answer. There is an optional worksheet that you can use to have students follow along with the lesson.
